Well, after a jam-packed, second to second, busy bee last few days, I have not been able to get on here and express all of the great news! We are currently 4-3, and our winning streak is finally...and I mean finally...back. After facing three L's in a row for our first three games of the season, my teammates and I found ourselves struggling to comprehend and make sense of the outcomes taking place on the field around us. We were playing well, working hard, and putting in the effort, but something just didn't click...that is until this past weekend in Chicago. Here's a brief rundown of the beginning of our winning streak:
Alli Stubbs ('19), Gabby Lancial ('19), Kelsey Fauser ('17), and Jessy Holen ('19) were all featured as images and text in The Gazette (Cedar Rapids, Iowa City and the Corridor's city newspaper) following Coe's victory over Cornell! Congratulations for making the paper and continuing to make Coe proud, on and off the field.
We face off again tomorrow at home against Greenville College at 3 p.m. and once more on Sunday at home against Knox College at 4 p.m.
Both games can be viewed using the link listed below, or you can follow live Tweets using @coe_soccer_W.
Sorry for the short note, college has the best of me this week...annnnnd MY PARENTS ARE IN TOWN!!! So, I have to prioritize a little bit. ;)
As always, go Kohawks!!!! And thank you for your endless support.
- Non-Conference Match #4: Kohawks gain a HUGE 3-0 win against Lake Forest College in Chicago on September 10th.
- Non-Conference Match #5: Kohawks achieve another victory in Chi Town, this time 5-0, against Lawrence University on September 11.
- Non-Conference Match #6: Kohawks face, yet again, another W against Grinnell College in double over time on September 13, winning 2-1.
- Non-Conference Match #7: Kohawks earn our fourth win of the season against cross-town rival Cornell College on September 14, beating the Rams 3-1.
